The Lemurian Maiden's Last Song:Auld Lang Syne (Limited Edition)
The Lemurian Maiden's Last Song:Auld Lang Syne draws inspiration from the legend of the Lemurian continent, believed to have been located in the Pacific Ocean and to have sunk in a single night between 12,000 to 50,000 years ago. According to the story, most Lemurians managed to escape the sinking land—some fled to underground cities, while others transcended to different dimensions.
Yet, a few shrine maidens chose to stay behind, offering their prayers and sacrifices to ensure the safety of their people. These maidens sang Auld Lang Syne as a final farewell, embodying both the hope for reunion and the sorrow of parting. As the ocean rose above their lips, their singing turned to humming. Many fleeing Lemurians, overcome with grief, reportedly heard their humming as they departed, carrying the memory of their devotion.
While Auld Lang Syne is widely recognized today as a Scottish folk song, its origins are believed to be far deeper, tracing back to the era of Lemuria. This song, with its themes of remembrance and reunion, echoes the Lemurian maidens’ prayers and farewells, transcending time to connect us with a forgotten epoch.
This artwork pays tribute to the Lemurian maidens' sacrifice, capturing their final prayers and the hope they carried for reunion. It reflects the strength of the human spirit and the bonds that transcend even the deepest loss.
