A Sunny Afternoon at Mt. Bandai

This piece captures the serene beauty of Mt. Bandai and its surrounding landscapes, embodying the resilience and quiet strength of Fukushima's nature. Following the nuclear disaster of 3.11, Fukushima has become a symbol of rebirth and perseverance. In this artwork, I sought to honor the stillness and purity of the land, allowing viewers to reflect on the enduring harmony between nature and humanity.

The interplay of light and texture evokes a sense of timelessness, as if nature itself has paused to invite contemplation. Through layers of soft illumination and subtle color gradations, I aimed to depict the restorative energy of the region, highlighting its inherent power to heal and inspire.

This work stands as a tribute to Fukushima’s recovery and its untouched beauty, encouraging a deeper appreciation for the landscapes that quietly endure amidst change.
