Rather than using a traditional torii gate, which could anchor the meaning to a specific culture, I chose a more abstract form to keep the concept universal. This portal embodies the essence of 結界 (kekkai)—a boundary that separates the familiar world from the unknown, a sacred line that, once crossed, leads into a different dimension.

The lights surrounding the portal symbolize purification, a spiritual cleansing necessary to reach a higher state of existence. Just as many cultures emphasize preparation and purification before entering sacred spaces, these lights illuminate the path, inviting viewers to consider their own readiness to transcend. By stepping through this gateway, one embarks on a journey of transformation—a movement into the unknown, a leap towards deeper understanding and a more profound reality.
