Futaba-Machi, the epicenter of the 3.11 disaster, has experienced a slow and arduous recovery. Despite most of the town remaining vacant, with only about 100 residents, this artwork embodies the enduring hope of its people. The name "Futaba" translates to "two-leaf plant," symbolizing renewal and growth.

The piece presents a serene seascape, rendered in soft pastel hues that evoke tranquility. The calm ocean scene is interspersed with abstract elements, while two small sailboats in the distance serve as a poignant reminder of hope and progress amidst the still waters.
